Coconut Tourism

Guests visiting Ben Tre feel pleased immersing in the vast green coconuts isles. Taking a cruise in the cental quay, first of all, visitors are guided to sightsee coconut pre-processing sites along the Ham Luong River. Then visitors were taken to a traditional-styled and family-sized coconut candy factory. Guests canoe to a place to enjoy fruits and traditional music. While having lunch and taking a rest in the garden, guests can experience work of coconut brooms. By the evening, guests check in a homestay night and have access to a kitchen and cook together with the landlord listening to their daily lives stories.

A survey’s results showed that 77% of visitors to Ben Tre is for the growers, in which 63.5% said that the garden landscape are beautiful, 61.3% said healthy environment, and 50% paid interest of being able to be back in the near future, 35% would introduce other people to know.

Tourism coconut gardens in Ben Tre are operating under the two models: open-air sightseeing and resorts. The open-air sight seeing is for students who have demand of outdoor activities, picnic to learn about the nature. The second one is for people who need to make some relaxation for health or foreign visitors who want to experience the Vietnamese countryside’s life.
